Primary Tasks: Hybrid interaction/visual design, iconography design
The product this project was for, is an enterprise server OS that does versioning management & social file sharing for teams w/in a firewall-sheilded company server.
Primary Tasks: Product strategy, ux strategy, user & stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, user roles definition, ux design, content strategy & writing.
The Hera ticketing event management platform was a project I endeavored, at first to make design recommendations to Burning Man. Later, I developed and pitched it as a first project for a non-profit product incubator I sought startup funding for.
Primary Tasks: UX discovery, Interaction design
This project was dropped two weeks after its kickoff, so the slides here don’t reveal much depth or development. But I’m including it here anyway, cuz this was one of the most exciting things to cross my desk in some time—and I very much want to take-on more things like this in the future! 🙂 Feb 2014 note: More slides are being added asap, redactions pending…
Primary Tasks: Sketching, sketching, sketching. Storyboarding. Hi-fi wireframes for 3 scenarios, and 1 user mini-persona. A lot of sketching. Wash, rinse, repeat.
These slides are from my submitted entry, capping-off a 2-week “bakeoff” exercise among the design team I was working with. We started with a finite set of functional requirements & nebulous ideas that a prospective client’s creative director was curious to see realized, with the goal creating a tool to enable his own design team loosen-up and sketch more freely… but still with pixels.
Primary Tasks: Interaction design, user roles definition
Virtuwell is a first-of-its kind online service, taking the “Ask A Nurse” concept to the next level by offering diagnostic & treatment services for the most common & least-invasive maladies, that would otherwise cost much more to treat via physician office visits. And would require the hassle of leaving your house.
Primary Tasks: UX/product strategy, hybrid interaction/visual design, content strategy & copywriting
From April 12-15th 2008, BEA Systems hosted their annual user conference in Chicago. Upon arrival, all attendees were given iPod Touch devices pre-configured for the conference, and prior to the conference were introduced to its website through Registration.
Primary Tasks: Client-site workshops, hybrid interaction/visual design, weekly micro-usability testing, prototype building in Flash. VERY quick iteration.
This was probably one of the most full-team, highly collaborative projects I’ve ever worked on. The initial ask was to simply polish a dowdy & troublesome suite of native apps on the yet-to-launch Palm Foleo device. And maybe the OS. At the eleventh hour, before the product’s long awaited launch.
